Sightseeings Rovinj
The Church of St. Euphemia
One of the most famous sights in Rovinj is the church of St. Euphemia built somewhere at the beginning of the 10th century. During the year 800 sarchopagus with the remained of St. Euphemia was brought to the town of Rovinj and it was placed in the small church of St. Jurij, however that church soon became too small for all the pilgrims that started to come to Rovinj and thus a lot bigger church was built – the church of St. Euphemia. The church was built in the manner of Baroque Venetian style.
